Re: Appeal for Financial Contribution to Respond to Emergency Needs in Ethiopia

Ethiopia, especially Northern Ethiopia, has for the last one year gone through unprecedented loss of life, suffering and destruction of livelihood including infrastructure damage to basic health, education, and utility services. It is evident that each of us have responded to this national crisis through different channels and means.
The need in the country is huge. It is incumbent on all of us to continue supporting the affected people/communities in this crisis with emergency and rehabilitation needs as much as we can. EPPAD, as a professional association, has decided to reach out to you to ask you to again extend your hands of compassion and generosity, as you have done in the past when you responded to the Covid19 crisis in Ethiopia. The objective of the current initiative of EPPAD is to provide direct financial and/or material support to the agencies, groups and communities affected by the crisis. The support will contribute towards government and other humanitarian agencies support to address critical needs of internally displaced and returning people, and rehabilitation of damaged health facilities/services. Your immediate response is highly appreciated so that we can implement the project as urgently as possible.
